Researching of efficiency optimized torque distribution based on front and rear wheel independently drive electrical vehicle

Distributed electrical vehicle drive scheme has being a widely discussed issue, especially the Front and Rear wheel Independent Drive(FRID) strategy, which has the advantage of low costing, simple structure, and easy to implement. The promotion of efficiency using FRID is discussed in this paper, then an motor and battery efficiency optimize algorithm of front and rear motor torque distribution are researched, respectively, and at last a genetic algorithm theory is used to combine above two optimized strategy. The research is verified to have the ability to improve the efficiency of the vehicle system, by the ADVISOR simulation and experiment.
