Corrosion Behaviour Inconel 617 in VHTR Environment

As it was observed in the past Gas Cooled Reactors, it is expected that the VHTR’s cooling gas will be polluted by air ingresses, in-leakages or the degassing of adsorbed species out of the large amount of graphite. These impureties are reactive and may interact with the core graphite and with the metallic materials and may cause some loss or damage of their properties.Copyright © 2006 by ASME
