The Map of Radon Hazard of Moscow

Assessment of radon risk is an important environmental problem that the development of modern cities faces with. Radon hazard is determined by the volume of radon ground flux. Our investigation is aimed at mapping zones with the elevated level of radon emanation from soils in order to develop the program of protection from radon. The results of engineering geological and environmental survey for construction were used for mapping of radon hazard in Moscow. The areas of high radon risk were outlined.
