Research on Health Status Evaluation of Relay Protection Based on Combinatorial Weighting Model

With the occurrence of blackouts in the interconnected large-capacity power system, more and more attention has been paid to the health status of relay protection equipment. This paper proposes a combinatorial weighing model to assess the health status of relay protection equipment with reliability and maintenance efficiency. First, it proposes the evaluation index system covering the reliability and maintenance efficiency Then, the combinatorial weighting model based on the improved analytic hierarchy process and entropy are proposed. After that, the method to evaluation health status of the relay protection equipment and identify the weak links is proposed. Finally, the application to assess six types of relay protection equipment in one substation verifies the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed method.
