COMPRESSION EXPERIMENTS OF NEON-FILLED GLASS MICROBALLONS IRRADIATED BY TWO 1.06μm LASER BEAMS
1990
The compression experiments with neon-filled microballoons were performed using Shen-guang (10~(12) W) neodymium glass laser facility. The results showed that the laser-driven implosion compression ratio was about 70, the electron density reached 10~(23) cm~(-3), the averaged implosion velocity was about 3.3×107 cm/s.
