DISTRIBUCIÓN DEL POLIMORFISMO DEL CODÓN 72 DE TP53 EN VENEZUELA: IMPLICACIONES ÉTNICAS Y GEOGRÁFICAS

2010
phism in both Venezuelan admixed (69.3%) and amerindian populations (Warao: 81%; Pemon: 86.2%) was found. Statistically significant differences (p<0.001) with those reported for African and Asian populations were observed. The results highlight the importance of inter-population differences of polymorphic markers, and the potential influence of ethnic variations caused by phenomena such as the migration of human groups and the admixture process, especially in the Americas.
