AZOMETHINE YLIDES DERIVED FROM ALKYL(3-OXOPIPERAZIN-2-YL)ACETATES IN 1,3-DIPOLAR CYCLOADDITION REACTIONS WITH N-ARYL MALEIMIDES

A 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of N-aryl maleimides with azomethine ylides obtained from aromatic aldehydes and alkyl(3-oxopiperazin-2-yl)acetates gave a new heterocyclic system – decahydro-3b H -pyrrolo[3',4':3,4]pyrrolo[1,2- a ]pyrazine.
