Inclusive production of Δ++ and Δ0 in K−p interactions at 14.3 GeV/c

1976
The inclusive production of Δ++(1236) and Δ0(1236) in K−p interactions at 14.3 GeV/c is studied up to a four-momentum transfer squared |t| to the target proton of 1 (GeV)2, and their invariant cross-sections are given. A study of the density matrix elements as a function of momentum transfer shows that the production of Δ++ and Δ0 is dominated by pion exchange at very low |t|. The study of the Δ++ under the triple Regge scheme leads to a similar conclusion.
