Method and system for processing network fault and router

The invention relates to the field of communication network, in particular to a technology for processing network fault. The method for processing the network fault comprises the following steps: a first router receives an error LSP message; a second router in an adjacent router, which is used for transmitting or forwarding the error LSP message is determined; an error inform message is transmitted to the second router; and the second router is informed of processing the fault between the first router and the second router. The invention also provides a network fault processing system and a router. According to the received error LSP message, the adjacent router for transmitting or forwarding the error LSP message is determined, and the adjacent router is informed of processing the fault,thereby the positioning and the processing of the fault are achieved, subsequent network flow is prevented as possible passing the fault position, and the service quality of network bearing service isensured.
