A Key Sharing Management Scheme in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

2008
This paper presents a key sharing management scheme for the communication security problem in wireless ad hoc networks. In this method, a simple protocol is used to realize key management among mobile nodes, including the certificate authority of nodes, and the threshold cryptography. In this paper, the influence of node mobility on key sharing management is discussed, the security performance is also discussed. Simulation results show that the scheme solves the cheating problem of the CA nodes. When k≤10, the success ratio of key reconstruction is above 90%; the success ratio is still up to 70% as kequals to 30. When k≤20, the delay caused by key reconstruction is less than 200ms, and the overhead cost for key reconstruction goes up from 20% to 60%.
