BMI 지수를 이용한 지적장애인의 체지방률 추정식 개발과 교차타당화 연구

2014
The purpose of this study was to develop the prediction equation of %body fat using BMI and to estimate the cross-validation for persons with intellectual disability. A total of 119 persons(male 82, female 37) participated in this research. The factor of BMI(Body Mass Index), age, gender were used as the explanatory variable, and the percent of body fat from DEXA, and BIA were used as the response variable. The descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. As the results, firstly, the gender was not discriminated between BMI, and %fat from DEXA and BIA. Secondly, among the all variables, age did not have a significant coefficient or there was no relationship. Thirdly, the equations were as follows. %fatDEXA is?7.376+(1.340×BMI)+(0.385×gender×BMI) and %fatBIA is?14.258+(1.576×BMI)+(0.270×gender×BMI). Lastly, in the results of cross-validation, the prediction equation was highly assessed, indicating that the R2 was at 76% for DEXA and at 85% for BIA. In conclusion, it is expected to use this prediction equation of %fat for persons with intellectual disability instead of BMI itself alone.
