A new species of the Cerrado in Brazil

A new species of Praxelis (Eupatorieae—Asteraceae) of Cerrado in Brazil, P. macrocarpa , is described and illustrated. It is very similar to P. capillaris but differs in involucral bracts number, involucre size, concrescence of involucral bracts, fruit size, flower size, and apical anther appendages. A description of pollen characters of the new species and a new key to the species of Praxelis in Brazil are included.
