Chemotherapy in the Palliative Phase of Cancer Treatment: An Open Ethical and Medical Question

In front of the high frequency of cancer disease, medical oncologists sometime consider chemotherapy more as a palliative tool than a curative measure. Indeed, despite pharmaceutical improvements, the potential of anticancer drugs is often limited to the control of cancer related symptoms. The objective is here to summarize the palliation possibilities of chemotherapy to control cancer related problems.
