Multiplexed Cantilever Sensors with a Peptide Receptor and Humidity Effects on Binding Kinetics

Transducing ability of chemical information to electric signal is critical for bioand chemical sensor [1]. Advance in micro/nano technology provides better sensing ability with a high sensitivity and a selectivity. Importantly, the selectivity of sensor is the most essential criteria in the artificial olfactory system as well as chemical sensors because of discriminating ability between different substances. As a receptor, peptide is a great candidate as a receptor for bio/chemical sensors because of its high selectivity. Even though peptide that could binds selectively with a target gas/material, no previous results have been published for in-depth insight of peptide receptor, especially for the effects of water molecules.
