Transparent and ferroelectric poly (vinylidene fluoride) film achieved by simple ultrasonic spray coating method

Abstract The poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) films were prepared by blade coating (BC) and ultrasonic spray coating (USC) methods for achieving high transparency and ferroelectric property. The results indicated that PVDF film prepared by USC method showed higher transparency and ferroelectric property in contrast with that by BC method. It was owing to high content ferroelectric crystalline phases with hundreds of nanometer size crystals formed by USC process.
