Image-capturing unit for endoscope

This image-capturing unit for an endoscope comprises: a lens barrel section configured to hold both an image-capturing element and an objective lens which includes a movable lens, and including a movable lens-holding frame which can move forward and backward while holding the movable lens; and a drive mechanism section disposed on the side surface of the lens barrel section and driving the movable lens-holding frame. The image-capturing unit also comprises a holding section provided on the side surface of the lens barrel section and configured so as to position and hold the drive mechanism section. The drive mechanism section has, on the base end side relative to the holding section, a shape which extends toward the base end with a gap provided between the lens barrel section and the drive mechanism section. The gap between the lens barrel section and the drive mechanism section is filled with an adhesive agent having hardness which varies such that the closer to the base end, the lower the hardness.
