The invention discloses a high-purity magnesium powder preparing method. According to the method, a magnesium block is heated at 1100 DEG C to 1300 DEG C, sublimates in a continuous circulation inert gas environment, and is cooled to the room temperature after heat preservation is kept for a certain time, and high-purity magnesium powder is obtained at the position of a collecting device of a condensation zone. By controlling the temperature and the inert gas flowing speed, the powder size can be effectively regulated and controlled, and the yield is improved. Compared with a traditional powder preparing method, the high-purity magnesium powder preparing method is easy, convenient, practical, short in period, low in cost, small in powder size, high in purity and capable of achieving low-cost short-period large-batch and high-purity magnesium powder preparing.
