Erratum to: "The universality of enzymatic rate-temperature dependency". [Trends in Biochemical Sciences 39, (2014), 1-7].

2014
In the Opinion article ‘The universality of enzymatic rate–temperature dependency’ by Mikael Elias, Grzegorz Wieczorek, Shaked Rosenne, and Dan S. Tawfik, which was published in the January 2014 issue of Trends in Biochemical Sciences, the first complete sentence on page 5 omits the word ‘less’ and a reference to the relevant figure. The correct sentence is:“In our view, the less steep temperature-induced declines in catalytic power, when kcat/KM versus kcat are considered (Figure 2B), also relate to the notion that kcat reports the properties of the enzyme bound species (the substrate–enzyme complex and the following states), whereas kcat/KM relates to both the free and the bound enzyme [33].” The authors apologize for any inconvenience this error has caused.
