Method and apparatus for playing instant message sound on vehicle-mounted terminal

The invention discloses a method and an apparatus for playing instant message sound on a vehicle-mounted terminal. The method comprises the steps of when instant communication software installed on the vehicle-mounted terminal receives an instant message, starting a message sound channel to play instant message sound corresponding to the instant message; when the instant message sound corresponding to the instant message is played through the message sound channel, if the vehicle-mounted terminal receives any one type of broadcast content, invoking a prestored sound channel control rule according to the broadcast content; and the vehicle-mounted terminal controlling working states of the message sound channel and the sound channel for playing the broadcast content according to the sound channel control rule, so as to enable the instant message sound and the broadcast content to be played in turn, in sequence or in hybrid. Through adoption of the method, the vehicle-mounted terminal provided with the instant communication software can play the instant message sound corresponding to the instant communication software accurately.
