Research for unique venue of cultural properties made by bricks in Japan

This study examined the effects of special events on cultural properties constructed of bricks when used as unique venues. Measurements of the temperature, humidity, CO2 and particulate matter 2.5 were carried out in brick buildings during the event. Vibration transmitted to the buildings during the event were also measured. During summer events, CO2 was measured to reach high levels of concentration and remained elevated until the following day. Vibrations transmitted to the buildings were also detected during events and varied according to the scale and type of event, as well as the musical instruments used.
