Analytical Description of the Biomechanics of the Hip Joint in the Process of Standing on One Leg with Regard to Human Anthropometric Features

The paper describes the biomechanics of the hip joint in the process of loa ing one limb under static conditions. The paper refers to data related to anthropometric features of men and women qualified to the 50th percentile [Skubiszak L, 2009, Trzaskoma Z.,2003]. Kinematics of the hip joint is analyzed, and an attempt is made to determine an influence of variations of the body weight on the forces that occur in the hip joint of a chosen geometry. This information is very important while selecting implants for patients qualified for surgi-cal intervention of implanting the hip joint.
