The efficiency of equipment for the combustion of powder-like silicon-aluminum power-storage materials

A thermodynamic analysis of working processes in equipment used for combustion of silicon-aluminum power-storage materials (PSM) obtained from reduction of the slags formed during coal combustion is presented. The study is carried out with an air chamber for combustion of the PSM and with a steam-hydrogen reactor, in which the combustion of PSM is accompanied by hydrogen emissions. The study confirmed the operating efficiency of this equipment. The data obtained can be used in making design calculations of the entire thermal power plant and in determining its optimal operating conditions.
