Concurrent Topological Optimisation of Two Bodies Sharing Design Space

The topological optimisation of engineering components is a well-discussed topic. In the literature many papers and books can be found defining the basis of topological optimisation and presenting states of the art and perspectives (see, for instance, [28, 74, 96, 190, 255, 260]). Many methods have been developed to face topology optimisation problems, among them, the most used, especially in available software, is the SIMP method [190].
