Optimal design of servo system for CNC grinder

In order to improve the ultra-precision machining accuracy of CNC, a method via establishing a mathematical model based on the linear motor control system of the CNC and using improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to accomplish the optimization of servo system parameters. The parameters of PID controller and transfer function are both optimized by improved PSO. Test results show the effectiveness of the optimization method.
