Pautas Éticas Internacionales para la investigación de la salud humana en la Tecnología de la Información y la Comunicación

The objective of this article is to verify that the International Ethical Guidelines for research related to health with human beings of the Council of International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS) can be used as a frame of reference to help establish an ethical standard in research of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), from a social perspective to emphasize the needs and interests of society. The article is based on a bibliographic review of the existence of codes or guidelines of existing ethics in ICT research, it explores the panorama presented by the technologies, more immediate and dependent by people, observing in it the need for a regulatory ethical pattern. The result of the analysis of the CIOMS Guidelines indicates the feasibility and applicability of the same, for the creation of ethical guidelines in the field of ICT research.
