Computer analysis of continuous blood pressure recordings in essential hypertension.

: Blood pressure signals recorded continuously in ambulatory patients were analyzed by an IBM 370 computer and the systolic and diastolic values of each pressure cycle presented in form of a histogram. The results of pressure recordings in patients with 'borderline or labile' and 'established' hypertension are presented and discussed.
