The study on 4-phenyl-coumarin derivatives synthesis using phosphoric acid as catalyst

By using phosphoric acid as catalyst and solvent in the presence of three phenol compounds and ethyl benzoylacetate,three 4-phenyl-coumarin derivatives were synthesized in the yield of 98%.Their structures were characterized by IR, 1HNMR , 13 CNMR and EI-MS.The most suitable conditions were shown as follows:ambient reaction temperature,phosphoric acid as catalyst and solvent.
