The spontaneous reabsorbtion of posttraumatic interhemispheric subdural haematoma

1996
The presence of blood clot collections exclusively in the subdural space at the interhemispheric fissure is an unusual location for subdural haematoma of postraumatic origin [1]. The clinical aspects and course, prognosis and treatment, differ from subdural haematomas over the convexity. It is possible that we should consider these subdural haematomas localized in the interhemispheric fissure (ISH) as a different entity displaying a clinical syndrome which has been recognized as the "Falx Syndrome" [3]. We had the opportunity of treating 2 patients with postraumatic ISH, both cases showed similar clinical and radiological findings. We present here a report of one of them.
