Low-latency intraframe coding method based on strip division

2014
The invention provides a low-latency intraframe coding method based on strip division. According to the low-latency intraframe coding method based on strip division, the latency is lowered in the acquisition step and the coding step, each frame of image is acquired through an acquisition end with the strip as the unit firstly, wherein the size of each strip is relevant to the resolution ratio of a video, the latency requirements and the coding standard; then, coding is conducted with the strip as the unit, in order to further improve the prediction accuracy and lower the latency, each strip is divided into multiple sub-strips, intraframe prediction is conducted with an interpolation enlarged image of a reconstructed image obtained after one sub-strip is coded as a prediction image, and in this way, the prediction accuracy can be effectively improved. Tests prove that the low-latency coding structure based on the strips has the advantages that the inherent latency of a coding system can be effectively lowered, and for a video with the standard definition, the inherent latency can be lowered to 150 ms.
