Enhancement in P4 Language by Printing user Defined Messages in Behavioral Model Simulator

2019
P4 is an open source, permissively licensed programming language used to program network devices, designed to enable protocol-independent packet forwarding. The language was originally described in a SIGCOMM CCR paper in 2014 titled “Programming Protocol-Independent Packet Processors” [1] – the alliterative name shortens to “P4”. This paper will introduce the P4 language, P4 compiler and new log_msg function [2][3] for printing user defined messages.
