Abstract A bacterium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa , isolated from laboratory cultures of Diabrotica undecimpunctata , may have some value as a naturally occurring biological control agent against the southern corn rootworm, Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi, and the western corn rootworm, Diabrotica virgifera.
