Preparation and photocatalytic properties of ZnO nano-crack tube in TiO2 micro-burst tube by soaking and calcination after electrospinning

Abstract ZnO nano-crack tube in TiO2 micro-burst tube was prepared by the improved method of soaking and calcination after electrospinning. The photocatalytic performance of the prepared samples was analyzed by the degradation of Rhodamine B solution in UV and UV–Visible light. The photocatalytic performance of ZnO nano-crack tube in TiO2 micro-burst tube is better than that of TiO2 burst-tubes and ZnO nano-crack tube in TiO2 micro-tube, which may be attributed to the reduction of band gap energy and electron hole recombination rate caused by the heterogeneous junction of the special structure. The microsurface morphology, structure, chemical composition and band width of ZnO nano-crack tube in TiO2 micro-burst tube were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray Diffractometer (XRD), Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (DRS). This work provides a feasible scheme for the preparation of crack tube in burst tube structure.
