The application of drawing technology with roller-die in the Nb-Zr wire production

This paper approves drawing technique with roller-die is suitable for Niobium-Zirconium wire production through tests.Comparing the properties of Niobium-Zirconium wire between roller die and conventional die drawing,the advantage and disadvantage of the two manufacturing methods,and coUigating with one year commercial production experience,it is proved that roller-die drawing method is applicable for Nb-Zr wire production.The quality of products by these two different manufacturing methods is almost the same.But the wire surface of the roller-die drawing is better than conventional die drawing,and productive efficiency is higher too.
