Weak part identification in power grid based on self-organized criticality

In order to further study the self-organized criticality when large-area blackouts happened in power system, a model that is used to simulate power system blackout process in all the components power flow limit relative fixed time is proposed. This model researches holistic dynamics when power system is in SOC state and research on the relationship between loading rate distribution and self-organized criticality. According to the simulation results, establishing integrated index to find the grid weak parts from the macroscopic characteristics of electric power system. Taking IEEE39 system as the research object, the paper removes weak lines in turn to calculate average efficiency after obtaining the order of weak lines, and then analyze the effectiveness of the proposed integrated index according to the change of average efficiency. The results show that the integrated index has a better recognition on weak parts. Finally, applying this method to identify weak parts in Gansu power grid. On this basis, the operation and dispatching personnel of the power grid can monitor well and put forward the corresponding defensive measures to improve the reliability of the power system.
