Alterações remodelativas da ATM frente ao uso de aparelhos protrusores: uma revisão integrativa

Com o objetivo de avaliar o estado do conhecimento sobre os efeitos de aparelhos protrusores na remodelacao condilar, foi realizado um trabalho de revisao integrativa, que segue normas especificas para buscar na literatura o suporte para tomadas de decisoes na pratica clinica. Da analise dos estudos que atenderam o criterio de inclusao, pode-se concluir que, do ponto de vista morfologico, existem evidencias do efeito dos aparelhos protrusores no remodelamento condilar. No entanto, do ponto de vista molecular, ainda existem pontos a serem esclarecidos para melhor consubstanciar a pratica clinica... Aiming the evaluation of the state of the art about the effectiveness of protraction appliances on the condyle remodelation, it was done an integrative review, in accord to specific rules, to search in the literature the support for clinical practice decisions. Analyzing the articles that follow the inclusion criteria, it was concluded that from the morphological point of view, there are evidences of the effectiveness of protractors appliances on condyle remodelation. However, from the molecular point of view there are still some lacking of knowledge that must be clarified to better support the clinical practice...
