FEA on isometric polygonal profile connection of mining machine based on ANSYS

In view of the manufacture and connection theory of isometric polygonal profile connection in transmission system of mining machine,the location of the initial contact point in isometric polygonal connection parts were theoretically determined by using the analytical method,and the overall analysis of the isometric polygonal profile shaft was conducted by using ANSYS.In addition,the geometric model of 1/3 structure of the shaft and hub of isometric polygonal profile connection were set up,and the stress and strain were calculated and analyzed.The results showed that the total deformation of all nodes had a significant cyclical feature and the total displacement was greater with the more away from the center.
