Numerical experiments on flow control of near wall turbulence

In this paper we demonstrate by means of direct numerical simulations (DNS) of channel flow with surface structuring or modified boundary conditions how turbulence can be controlled by influencing the anisotropy state of near wall turbulence. (© 2008 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
