Allgemeiner Staubgrenzwert. Teil 2: Arbeitsplatzexposition, Aspekte der praktischen Umsetzung

1999
While part 1 described important aspects of the deduction and area of applicability of the new general dust limit value proposed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Association), part 2 deals with questions and problems arising during in situ application and the transformation of the proposals of the DFG into legally binding regulations. This is discussed in the context of description of the exposure situation in various branches and industries and various professional activities, especially considering the state of the art. Although calculations of trends for the inhalable and respirable dust fractions show a steady decrease of the concentrations by time in general, in almost half of the workplaces the air limit values proposed by the DFG are not kept. For the application in practice approaches to workplace assessment are presented. Problems regarding measurement technology and analytics are dealt with and possible solutions suggested.
