UM COMPARATIVO DE PRODUTIVIDADE ENTRE RAÇAS DE GADO DE CORTE

O Brasil se destaca no mercado mundial de carne bovina como um dos maiores produtores e exportadores. Nos ultimos anos, a utilizacao de inovacoes tecnologicas e um intenso investimento na melhoria genetica do rebanho, das condicoes de sanidade animal e de manejo levaram o pais a atingir importantes marcas de produtividade no setor. Embora problemas recentes enfrentados pelos produtores criem apreensao, a pecuaria de corte como um todo nao tem o que temer, pois o pais esta hoje num patamar tecnologico que lhe permite uma certa tranquilidade. Em razao disso, o presente trabalho investigou e comparou o rendimento produtivo de quatro racas de corte, na regiao noroeste do Parana, identificando, na fase de terminacao as principais vantagens e desvantagens de cada raca estudada. O trabalho mostrou que a raca nelore apresentou melhores resultados de adaptabilidade, enquanto a canchim mostrou melhor rendimento de carcaca. In recent years, the use of technological innovations and an intense investment in the genetic improvement of the flock, of the conditions of animal health and handling had taken the country to reach important marks of productivity in the sector. Although recent problems faced by the producers create apprehension, the cattle one of cut as a whole does not have what to fear, therefore the country is today in a technological platform that allows a certain tranquillity it. In reason of this, the present work investigated and compared the productive income of four races of cut, in the region the northwest of the Parana, identifying, in the termination phase the main advantages and disadvantages of each studied race. The work showed that the Nelore race presented better resulted of adaptability, while canchim showed carcass income better.
