Measurement of the delayed-neutron yields in the fission of233U,236U,237Np,240Pu, and241Pu by neutrons from the spectrum of a fast reactor

1989
Experimental data on the yields of groups of delayed neutrons are of interest for two reasons. First, the values of these yields are independent nuclear constants, which are very important in practice. Second, comparison of the experimentally determined values of yields of groups of delayed neutrons with predictive estimates, obtained with the aid of computational sets of independent fission yields, allows the consistency of these sets to be judged. The sensitivity of this method of checking is fairly high (at least at the level of the significance of parity effects in the charge distributions of the fission products [I]).
