Technology forecasting in a spatial context

1980
Abstract The author discusses the spatial impact of technical change under three broad headings: product, process, and managerial innovation (particularly its effect on the location of office work). Using the UK as an example, he argues that both peripheral and innercity areas are especially vulnerable, in so far as they depend on the traditional industries and routine office work to provide employment.
