Laminátová socha Rychlost ve světle komplexního restaurátorského průzkumu

2019
The article presents the restoration research of Jiři Novak’s (1922–2010) laminate statue Velocity. Artists began to use fibreglass after the mid-1960s and Velocity was created as early as 1958–1961. In a European context, it is an early example of using ‘modern’ synthetic material. The chemist Miroslav Schatz cooperated in the making of the statue which was laminated from dark blue‑hued Polyester resin with the addition of metal powder. The complex research included: visual research, endoscopic research, photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and material research.
