Twin AMD 29000s provide 48 MIPS for super dynamic graphics

A description is given and principles outlined for Ferranti Computer System's VARS (variable attribute raster-graphics system). Applications of the current implementation, VARS-X, are outlined. The impact of performance needs on specification are discussed. An overview of the architecture is also given. >
