Impact of Solar cells Materials on Energy Efficiency using Nanotechnology

As the global interest in renewable energy and concerns related to climate change increases, the solar cell marketing has expanded rapidly in few years. The cost of any technology is a critical factor in determining performance of a system. The solar cells that are utilized today are photovoltaic cells, which are inefficient and expensive to produce electricity. Potential advances in applied science/nanotechnology, on the other hand, could pave the way for the production of more cost-effective and slightly more economical solar cells with different generation of materials. The vast breakthroughs of Nanotechnology in solar cells reviewed in this paper. This paper represents a comparison between usage of the solar cell in current scenario and the sources of upgrading the energy efficiency by Nanotechnology.
