Method and protein purification kit

The invention provides a method and kit for viral inactivation and capture / purification combined with a sample containing a protein of interest. The method comprises the steps of: conditioning the sample so that its conductivity is at most 15 mS / cm and its pH is at least 4; contacting the sample with a separating means comprising negatively charged particles; conditioning of the separating means such that its pH is at most 4.5 and maintaining said pH for at least 5 min; and packaging of the separating means such that its conductivity is not less than 7 mS / cm and its pH is 5 to 8, eluted and the protein of interest.
