The invention relates to a method for judging the radio testing environment under the condition of an external field, which comprises the following steps of: dividing a certain area to be tested and determining at least three points to be tested; observing that shelters are not present by using a sight line; for each point to be tested, subsequently measuring a noise signal of a target communication frequency, calculating the average received power and the variance received power of the noise signal, and determining that the area belongs to the NLOS environment when the average received poweris more than -90dBm or the variance of the received power value is more than 9dBm ; measuring receipt signal power, and determining that the area belongs to the NLOS environment when the receipt path number is more than 1 and the power of a path 1 is too small; and calculating an actual attenuation value and a theoretical attenuation value of a transmission signal, determining the area belongs to the NLOS environment if a result of subtracting the theoretical attenuation value from the actual attenuation value is more than 5dBm, and determining that the area belongs to the LOS environment if the result is not more than 5dBm. The invention provides a method for quantitatively and accurately judging the wireless signal propagation environment under the condition of the external field, overcomes the defect of inaccuracy of the conventional visual inspection experience judgment, and is worthy of popularization.
