Plant regeneration from cotyledonary explants of Aesculus hippocastanum L.

1991
Abstract Somatic embryos obtained by cotyledonary explants of Aesculus hippocastanum L. acquire the capacity to evolve into plants only after being kept for 6 months at a temperature of 6°C. If they are then transferred to a temperature of 25°C within about 18 days they produce roots and shoots, and can be transplanted to soil.
