Palladium-catalyzed carbonylation of allyl alcohols in the presence of lithium chloride and titanium(IV) isopropoxide

Abstract Carbonylation of allyl alcohols with a catalytic amount of Pd(PPh 3 ) 4 proceeds smoothly and efficiently in the presence of lithium chloride and titanium(IV) isopropoxide to give the corresponding isopropyl 3-butenoates.
