Size-frequency distribution and length-weight relationships in two species of Oxygaster (Van hassett, 1823) (Family: Cyprinidae)

2002
The size-frequency distribution and length-weight relationships of two species of Oxygaster were determined. The size ranged from 70-180 mm in O. bacaila and from 70-230 mm in O. gora. The total male-female ratio was found 1:1.27 for O. bacaila and 1:1.02 for O. gora. Both the males and females of studied species showed isometric growth. The relative condition factor (Kn) values showed that O. gora was heavier than O. bacaila. The Kn values were higher in males than in females.
