Pupils and Achievements: The evaluation of the functioning of an educational system is a product of what may be gleaned from multiple sources of information, supported by the appropriate methods of scientific analysis. The objective is to acquire step by step an overall vision, useful to decision makers in education, of the structural characteristics and pedagogical aspects of an educational institution without neglecting how it is perceived by those most directly involved in this system (notably teachers), as well as by users, particularly pupils and their parents.
